While this is a forum that was created for people that aren't able to attend festivals, I imagine that if any of us DO get the chance to attend a festival, we'd love to meet eachother there! Just post which festival you're attending, with information on the date and location, and maybe you'll find a bestie to meet IRL (in real life)!

Welcome to the Forum
The purpose of this space is to meet other fiber enthusiasts and form meaningful connections. Many of us are active in the online knitting community via social media, but this space attempts to bring more depth to those communications. Rather than liking a post or making a quick comment on a story, here you can take the time to sit and chat - imagine you're chatting with your bestie over a cup of coffee in your living room (or, maybe you prefer a coffee shop, or a walk in the park). However you wish to look at it, this is a space intended for conversation and connection.

To get the conversation stared, I've created a "20 Questions Introduction" discussion. This discussion is intended to prompt conversation, find similarities that you share with another member, and create a basis of connection. If you feel uncomfortable answering any of the questions, please feel free to skip the question. This is intended to be a judge-free, comfortable space. (Learn more about this in our Diversity & Inclusion Statement.)
My vision is that the forums act as a starting point for conversations. Feel free to chat here for as long as you want, with as many people as you like, but also feel free to extend these new-found friendships to interacting on social media, writing letters, creating your own fiber swap, talking to eachother in a video call, or setting up an in-person meetup. This is simply a location to get those friendships started -- you'll have to do the work to get the friendship to blossom.

Stitches United is in Hartford CT March 26-29. The Allentown Fiber Festival is April 4-5 and i hope to be there! Maryland Sheep & Wool is May 2-3, and I'd really like to go to that. The NH Sheep & Wool Festival is May 9-10. My parents live in NH, but I won't be there this year. If I do any event in May, it will be Maryland. The NJ Sheep & Fiber Festival is Sept 12-13, and I hope to attend this year.
